In order to use cadence software, I tested different linux systems: CentOS, openSUSE, Ubuntu, Xubuntu, fedora.
I finally figured out the OpenSUSE Leap 42.1+xfce is the best choice.
The first time I tried openSUSE leap 42.1+KDE5, but it is not so efficient. So I changed to openSUSE 42.1+GNOME3 which is worse. And when I reinstall the system, I found the openSUSE installation process will keep all your home directory saved, which is very similar to Window 7 for keeping the old system stuff into window.old folder.
Then I use YaST add xfce desktop into the openSUSE+GNOME3 system. Everything is great now.
Issue: 1. at first, when I double click the window, it can’t be maximize. Then go to settings-> mouse to change the double click speed, making it work.
2. I also used wine 1.8.1 for using windows’ softwares like matlab and foxit reader.
3. when you try to use libreoffice, don’t click libreoffice write etc. Just click the libreoffice then you can select which one your prefer. This is much more faster.
