Some useful commands when using CentOS 6.7 system.
- mount -o loop ISO_file_directory /mnt/ISO: This command is to help you mount the ISO file into system. And make sure you use the root account to make the /mnt/ISO directory.
- yum -y install gcc and yum -y install gcc-c++: Install gcc compiler. After installation, use gcc –version to check it.
make install: These three commands is to install the NTFS-3G to help you mount the NTFS driver. But at first, we have to go to http://www.tuxera.com/community/open-source-ntfs-3g/ to download the newest version. Then extract all files into a folder. And in that folder open a new terminal and use root to run these three commands for installation. If you want to mount the NTFS, please type under the root “fdisk -l” to check the hard drivers name and then “mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb”. Make sure you have already make the /mnt/usb directory.

- For the virtualbox installation in CentOS 6.7, please read the website. Make sure you install dkms at first. “-uname -a” to check the version of kernel. And make sure update the kernel-headers and kernel-devel to be matched. If you still have problem when you type /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup, it must related the kernel and kernel-devel mismatch. At first, make sure you reboot the computer. And then “yum install kernel-devel-$(uname -r)”.
